Drinking mineral water during meals has a positive effect on moisturizing of foods and thereby facilitates swallowing and increases the availability of digestive enzymes. This is why mineral water is a much better drink to accompany meals than sweet juices, soft drinks and fruit compotes

Despite the fact that mineral water is the best way of hydrating our body, a complete daily fluid balance also includes delicate soups and unsweetened tea and coffee. In turn, all sweetened beverages have properties dehydrating the body and only seem to quench thirst.

Under normal circumstances of environment your body loses about 25-50 cm3 per hour, and with dry and hot climates, water loss can be as high as 1000 to 2500cm3/h. In addition, when the physical activity and/or the surroundings temperature increases (e.g. during a visit to the gym or sauna), the excretion of water in the form of sweat also increases. Therefore, it is important to regularly rehydrate.

Water you drink during the day promotes normal kidney function. Kidneys role is to filter the water and to eliminate the residues of metabolism form the body. Reducing the amount of water in your diet can hinder the kidneys as urine concentration promotes inflammation and formation of kidney stones.
